This large mural is designed in three parts, 30"x60, 60"x60" and 30"x30 making it adaptable to a wide range of spaces. It fits a traditional tub, or could be installed as one large piece (as seen above) or as an L. The measurements will vary slightly in depending on the grout space between the tiles.
Purchased by the Four Seasons, New Orleans it will be permanently installed behind the rooftop pool in 2022.
I spent the summer in Maine with my mother creating this large tile mural! Individually painted with underglaze on-top of bisque tiles, then glazed and fired at Portland Pottery.
Based on a Residency we did together at Spring Island, SC. We spent a week in the care of ornithologist and Executive director of the Spring Island Trust, Chris Marsh, exploring the island with spotting scopes, cameras and sketchbooks.
Spring Island was the first residency my mom and I have done together. It was an incredibly powerful experience. Our hope is to sell the "Roost" and use the funds to create our own mother-daughter art trip together every year.
